Children's Rights
An exploration of children’s rights and the urgent need to recognise, protect, and uphold them globally.
Published April 2026
Children’s rights remain one of the most widely discussed yet inconsistently protected areas of social justice today. Across different regions and communities, young people continue to face barriers that limit their access to education, safety, and opportunities for growth. While progress has been made in recognising these rights on a global scale, the gap between recognition and reality is still significant.
The experiences of young people are shaped by a range of factors, including economic conditions, cultural expectations, and political priorities. In many cases, their voices are overlooked in decisions that directly affect their lives. Understanding these challenges is essential in creating meaningful change, as awareness alone is not enough without consistent action and accountability.
